Album

Walking with a Ghost is an EP by the American alternative rock band The White Stripes and was released in December 2005, six months after Get Behind Me Satan, on V2. Their title track is a cover of Walking with a Ghost by Tegan and Sara and includes a music video. The album cover shows a KMZ Start camera. All songs by Jack White, except where noted. Walking with a Ghost Tegan and Sara cover 2:47. Same Boy You've Always Known live 3:12. As Ugly as I Seem live 5:04. The song appears on the soundtrack for the 2005 movie Monster-in-Law and was also used in the season 3 promo for Medium. The song was also covered by The White Stripes on an EP released 6 months after their album Get Behind Me Satan. The White Stripes followed up their well-received 2005 album Get Behind Me Satan with this five-song EP. The main attraction here is the title track, which recasts Tegan & Sara's synth-laden original as a guitar-heavy rocker. Whereas the initial version features a Wire-like New Wave vibe, this raucous rendition makes it seem like Walking with a Ghost was always a White Stripes tune, with Jack White's unmistakable presence steering the song toward the territory of his own Blue Orchid. Unsurprisingly, a new White Stripes album is going to overshadow a small livecover EP like Walking With A Ghost 4 Live Tracks. But this little collection is worth checking out anyway, It opens with a cover of indiepop sisters Tegan & Sara's Walking With A Ghost, now White-Striped. The White Stripes cap off another successful year with the December '05 release of this E. which contains some interesting live bonus tracks. Walking With a Ghost 5 tracks, 19 min. starts off with a sweet shout-out to Tegan & Sara, covering their Walking With a Ghost from their 2004 album So Jealous.
